Jason Jiang
Founder, Studio Manager
Jason began his storytelling journey at just 14 years old, launching his first brand, JiangVisuals, by the time he was 18. Since then, he’s captured over 500 weddings, bringing a depth of experience, calm presence, and intentionality to every shoot. Each Musu wedding is approached with the highest standard of care, crafted to be nothing short of exceptional.
“Storytelling is about capturing the subtle nuances of a couple’s love,” Jason shares.“It doesn’t always require bold or grand gestures. It’s found in the tone of their voices and the love reflected in their eyes. A well-crafted film or photo should allow you to witness their journey, how two people grow together to become one. Many speak of this, but few truly understand it.”
After years of working in the wedding industry, Jason began to notice a familiar pattern that surrounded most wedding days. He had worked with countless photographers and videographers and observed how often couples were pulled into a pre-scripted version of a wedding day, repeating the same shots, the same poses, the same rhythm.
So he asked: What if we flipped the script? Instead of bringing couples into our world, why not build the skill and the system to enter theirs?
That question became the seed for Studio Musu.
Our goal is simple: To help couples feel fully present on their wedding day. We use a blend of documentary storytelling and fine art composition to create imagery that feels honest, immersive, and emotionally rich. Our style is often described as bright, youthful, optimistic, and high-spirited. But more than how it looks, it’s about how it feels. We work with a proactive, intuitive, creative approach - allowing moments to unfold naturally, letting the couple’s personality guide the scene.
We don’t just direct; we listen, we observe, and we move with the rhythm of the moment. Our goal is to create work that feels so real and personal to the couple, it inspires a deeper connection for anyone who views it.
When Jason's not behind the camera, you’ll find Jason exploring new hobbies, camping, diving, and countless other adventures he’s lost track of.
Lily
Photographer
Lily is interested in making photographs that captures the feeling of each moment. She's interested in understanding the connection between people and the love that they share. Her background is in architecture, where she worked for renowned studios in Tokyo, Beijing and New York. She returns to pursue photography because she prefers a more personal and direct creative medium. Lily is inspired to make photographs that allows you to re-live the atmosphere and energy of the day.
When she’s not behind the camera, you can find Lily studying astrology or deep diving reviews on a movie she just watched.
Wei
Photographer & Videographer
Wei's journey with cameras began at a young age, igniting a passion that led him to study photography at the Photography Studies College in 2013. Launching his wedding photography career in 2017, he views photography as a journal of life - dedicated to freezing moments that future generations can cherish. In 2020, seeking a deeper level of storytelling, Wei expanded his craft from still images to film. Today, he brings this thoughtful perspective into his work, constantly exploring innovative ways to capture the essence of weddings.
When he's not at weddings, Wei enjoys reviewing camera gear and taking his dog on hikes to enjoy nature.
Ian
Videographer
Ian began his videography journey through travel vlogs, simply wanting to create memories with friends. Along the way, he discovered that a touch of flair in storytelling could turn these memories into everlasting films - the kind that make mates look back and say, “let's do it again.”
He believes storytelling isn’t just about capturing the moment, but about having the empathy to see the bigger picture — the nuances and layers that make each person and story unique. Ian finds it important to truly understand the complexities behind every story he captures.
When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find Ian slow-smoking brisket or riding his motorcycle, always chasing life’s next great adventure.
